Coding
Providing clarity and understanding to the innumerable aspects of proper coding is a particular strength of the Medical Society of Virginia. This Knowledgebase offers a collection of coding updates and rules changes that apply to physician practices in Virginia. Keep in mind also that MSV can conduct a review of claims coding and medical record documentation for your office to determine whether the practice is following guidelines from CMS and other payers for appropriate billing. These assessments address inappropriate or inaccurate coding plus weaknesses in medical record documentation that may expose the practice to problems with payers. Our coding and documentation staff is available to conduct educational seminars for physician members and their staff.
